Discover America National Marketing
Last week, I spoke with Holly Arnold Kinney (The Fort Resteraunt in Morrison CO) who is serving on the U.S. Travel and Tourism Advisory Board and on the Lariat Loop National Scenic and Historic Byway board.

She wanted to make sure the byways are represented on the Discover America national marketing. I searched on byway and a handful are listed. There is a great video and song to share. http://www.discoveramerica.com/

What a great idea. However, when I looked at the website there is no information about how to get an attraction (byway) included. Do you happen to know the process and could you please share with all of us. Thanks, Cris

I was checking out the U.S. Travel and Tourism Advisory Board on line. The next time the board is appointed it would be nice to have someone representing byways on the board.

Yes, we definitely need to make sure byways are on the radar screen with organizations like this. It could take byways marketing and promotion to a whole new level.

The National Scenic Byway Foundation is working, on behalf of byways, to strengthen partnerships with various national organizations including Brand USA (Discover America). Establishing these mutually beneficial partnerships is one of our greatest priorities over the upcoming months.

The attached file from Brand USA illustrates their four Experience Pillars, that includes Scenic Byways.

The National Scenic Byway Foundation welcomes your input and support. Visit us at www.nsbfoundation.com.

Anaise, I can see your file (Brand_USA_Experience_Pillars.pptx) on our system, but as you can see it's not showing up on the forum. I'll see what I can do to fix it. Please don't hesitate to contact us (helpdesk@byways.org) in the future if something doesn't appear to be working.

Update: I've fixed the attachment, it's shown above. In addition, a PDF version of the document is attached here, for those without PowerPoint.
